The MISSION
This site will serve as my Flight Log and album for all the flights I will be making in my mission to go around the world on Flight Simulator X, using my favorite warbird of all time, the North American P-51d.
For this "mission", I'll be using A2A Simulation's masterpiece, the WOP3 P-51d Civilian mustang, equipped with GPS and Century III autopilot system. I will be using Scanta's "Temptation" repaint for all of the flights. No official flight route will be followed. The journey will start with a Philippine Leg, whereby I'll be flying from Manila to Cebu, from Cebu to Davao, and from Davao to the rest of the world!
From the last airport, I'll be determining the next destination based on a the direction I want to go, and look for an airport within 300nm to 600nm in the said direction. All flights will be direct ones using mainly the GPS, so no other waypoints will be followed. However, ATC will be used all throughout the flight, particularly in obtaining directions for landing. ILS will be used when available. VFR flights will likewise be made especially at countries where there are interesting places to visit.
I intend to take one flight per day, time permitting, and hopefully be able to touch down back in Manila in a few months.
